On my recent trip to Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam (which you can read about on my other blog….if you want) I came across an interesting vehicle. I photographed this in Cambodia outside of Phnom Penn.
Apparently this is a tuk tuk and it retails for about 3000 dollars. I thought it would be an interesting grocery getter. I didn’t have the opportunity to take a ride in one, but perhaps some future day I will.
Today, on my way back from the bicycle store (because I love to look at bikes and bike stuff on my break and because I am getting ready pho my cycling trip–see my other blog) I came across a subway overpass that I didn’t know existed. While subway trains aren’t exactly trains, they are cool in their own right and I decided to share them with you.
I don’t know whether it was just because it was late in the season, but I didn’t really expect to see a motorcycle, much less one with a sidecar, today. I was just walking along Eglinton near Yonge and there it was. Pretty cool, I must say.
It was a lovely day, and I certainly don’t discourage anyone from getting that last ride in. It will probably be pretty cool next week, maybe too cool to get out on this bad boy.
Trains are awesome. Trains are great. My town has a renovated, yet classic train station, yet only commuter trains run on it. That doesn’t bother me, but it isn’t the same as seeing freight trains every day.
I went out for a walk today and took some photos. Anyone interested in trains might appreciate them.
Even the bicycle parking is cute.
I should also include the heritage sign for those who would like to see it.
